How Fusion Works in Persona 5

Fusion in Persona 5 follows familiar rules from Persona 3 and 4, but with some additional nuances:

There are rare personas (Treasure Demons) that, when fused with a normal persona X, result in another persona one or two ranks above or below X's current level.

  • Notably, the outcome depends on the rare persona and X's arcana, meaning it's not fixed but varies based on X's current level.
  • Rare personas include Regent, Queen's Necklace, Stone of Scone, Koh-i-Noor, Orlov, Emperor's Amulet, Hope Diamond, and Crystal Skull.

  1. When two rare personas are fused, the normal fusion formula is applied.
  2. Rare personas cannot be the result of fusion.
  3. If a fusion results in a rare persona, it is skipped.
  4. 3-way fusion is no longer present.
  5. There are DLC personas. If you don't own a DLC persona, it's skipped during fusion.
  6. The calculator assumes you own no DLC personas by default (you can adjust this here). Also, for rare fusions, it assumes your persona is at the base level.

Note on Fusion with Judgement Arcana

Contrary to the official guide, fusing a persona of the Judgement arcana with personas of Justice/Strength/Chariot/Death arcana is not possible in the game.
